As it is not the first time that we are talking about dowry system, it is being practised from ancient period to the modern period. It is one of the great problem of our Nepalese society. Due to the prevalent of this kind of system in our society, womens are forcible to live miserable and sad life. their rights are simply being exploited by the men as our society is male dominated society. they are not allowed to enjoy their rights instead they are forced to do work. This is what general description about dowry system. It is a system of giving goods or money by the women family to the men family on a marriage ceremony. This system has created numerous problem in our society. Many crimes are increasing due to the existence of this evil system in the society. Womens are burnt, killed and beaten by the men family because of not having brought dowry. so, womens are facing such kind of problems. Apart from this problem they are are another serious problem of not giving birrh to male child. They want to have a male child but when she gives birth or known earlier through some process that female child is going to be given birth by women then the child is killed in mother womb. so, womens are such kind of intolerable problem. Let's take an example of or country Nepal, in the remote areas pepole are found practising such kind of sinful activities even, the educated one are following it, so, it has become issue to be concernrd carefully and properly. The main reason reason for the prevalent of this system is illiteracy and bad traditions. They are guided by their bad belief , tradition and illiteracy. They aren't willing to leave their bad culture and tradition. But, they don't think about the result of their evil culture and tradition. They are bought with the money as they seem to be person buying toy from the shop. Moreover , nowdays because of insufficient or poor economic condition most of the family don't prefer to have a daughter in the family. The reason is one and only due to the fear of dowry syastem. When they will get marry, they should give dowry to the men family at that time they can't afford dowry by virtue of low economic status. Hence for the eradication of this bad culture and tradition peoplechange their attitude and should be brought in the practise. only then th system can get reduced. Besides it, the effort of a one man can't do anything for that all should come together and and shol have a n awaareness programe among the people.
